This hotel was well situated, just a couple of blocks from the Kodak Theatre, but still a relatively quiet location.
We were travelling as a family with our 15 year old son, so the accommodation, with a separate double bedroom, was ideal for us. There was also loads of cupboard space in the bedroom. The lounge was very large, with a dining table and kitchen area and a small balcony with tables and chairs overlooking the pool area.
Some of the decor and fixtures and fittings were a little tired and the kitchen facilities are quite basic. There was a fridge, cooker, microwave and sink, but crockery and cooking utensils were fairly limited. Fine for making sandwiches and heating things up, but not much more.
There was good parking with underground facilities, but a charge of $10 per night, which I hadn't noticed when we booked.
Lots of nice touches - a huge bottle of iced water with cucumber in the lobby to refresh guests, which was great, as well as a free "mini bar" facility. You just had to ask at reception for any drinks, chips, chocolate etc, plus they supplied DVDs free of charge to watch in your room.
The staff were very friendly and there were always enough on duty at reception to deal with guests with promptly.
The complimentary breakfast by the pool was good. Not a massive selection, but enough to choose from by way of fresh fruit, yoghurt, granola, cereals, toast and cakes, as well as coffee and tea. Get up early to get a table by the pool though!
The hotel isn't licenced, which was a bit disappointing when we arrived after a very long flight, desperate for a nice cold beer. But there's a good supermarket a couple of blocks away where you can stock up.
All in all a good choice, but not cheap by comparison to other places we've stayed in the US. I've rated it average more because of the cost than the facilities.
