The Sheraton Waikiki is one of the classic "on the beach" hotels in Waikiki. We stayed in an oceanfront room above the pool. The view was great and you get the added benefit of being able to watch and listen to the nightly poolside show from your lanai. This might be a negative for some, but the show is great... more

We had an oceanfront room on the top (31st) floor. The view was spectacular. The room itself was in very nice. This was not my first time staying there, but it was my first time since their renovation. I have to say I am glad they got rid of their previous tropical wallpaper in the hallways and went with something... more

I just had a wonderful stay in a 19th-floor oceanfront room at the Sheraton Waikiki, which I moved to after a brief stay at the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani. This review will cover both. It amazes me that both of these are rated three stars. It's probably appropriate for the Princess Kaiulani. It's kind of outdated and without full ocean views... more

Sheraton Hotels became part of the industry juggernaut, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, just before the turn of the century and while they have two legendary historic properties amongst their five owned, or managed, Waikiki hotels, and a further seven on the outer islands. However, as far as size is concerned the Sheraton Waikiki with almost 1,700 rooms, which would... more

I recently stayed at the Sheraton Waikiki for 5 nights. Overall, it was OK, but not really special. I had booked it with Starwood points, so I can't comment on the overall value. I probably would stay somewhere else if I were to return to Honolulu (probably the Hilton Hawaiian Village) and had to pay for it. Our room was... more

Stayed for 7 nights in late July 2008 and enjoyed the Sheraton Waikiki very much. All regular rooms are updated and they are working on refurbishing some suites. The rooms, as many have stated, are very nice with modern furnishings. We had a partial ocean view which faced the Halekulani hotel next door. Hotel has 10 elevators and we never... more

My family and I stayed here July 26- July 29. The hotel is on the beach, but is easy to drive by, as it is off the main street. Parking is $20 per day - something I was not aware of. The main problem was little roaches in the bathroom! Our first night I called down to the front desk... more

We had an exceptionally nice stay at the Sheraton Waikiki. Upon check-in on a busy holiday weekend, I discovered I had accidentally booked the wrong date. No matter – the very polite receptionist promptly found a room, and, what’s more, upgraded us to an enormous suite that was, by far, the largest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. It had... more

Our family including myself, my husband, my mother in law and my sons (ages 12 & 14) recently stayed overnight at this hotel the night before going on a Hawaiian cruise. We had two connecting rooms which were very spacious and clean. We had reserved city view rooms, but upon check in were upgraded to ocean view rooms which was... more
