Right in the middle of downtown Seattle, Washington; the Hotel Max's low-key design leads you to think business, but what we're really about is ART! ART! ART! The whole place is designed as a foil for both emerging and established artists & photographers in town. Each floor takes you on a journey through a different photographer's eye. more » « less

We travel to Seattle several times a year. Generally we are viewing welcome new additions to the family. A doggish addition to OUR family prompted a new direction in hotel accomodations...the search for pet friendly hotels. The Hotel Max, a cutting edge, Euro-funk addition to the Seattle hotel roster would not have been my first choice. Our son puts his... more

This is not a contemporary or funky hotel, this is just a cheap dump. Don't be fooled by a meagre display of so called contemporary decorating. The building is very old with tiny tiny rooms and bathrooms. The rooms stunk of damp, mildew and really old wood. If there weren't new beds in the rooms, you'd think you were in the Bates... more

My husband and I recently stayed at the Hotel Max for an anniversary weekend. The decor was fun and funky. Our room was spacious and comfortable, but there was a step up into the bathroom which would make it impossible for a disabled person (and dangerous in the middle of the night if you forgot it was there). We asked... more

If you like Art and something different this is the place for you... the staff was very friendly... The rooms were small but they were workable... Loved the styling and use of quality building materials... The parking was a little expensive but you're in down town Seattle (what do you expect)... Again, great art, great style and a very unique... more

I was in Seattle for a conference in June and spent three nights here. The room was a double, ie, two beds and I was travelling with my spouse. There was not enough room for us to unpack anything and so little floor space that I could not leave my suitcase filled and accessible (not even under the bed). I... more

While it's a trendy hotel, it is lacking in a number of areas. The first room we were in was large, but the step up to the bathroom measured 10". And, the ceiling was that much lower than normal, so my 6'4" body felt "squished". We checked in late, after seeing a play, and the room was quite warm. So... more

we stayed here two nights in Aug. and found it to be a great location, and nice hotel. The rooms were a bit small, and the bathroom was very small. No bath, just a shower. Other than that, there was nothing to complain about. Clean, and funky decor. We walked everywhere downtown, the location is perfect for someone who wants... more

The Hotel has great decor wihich is funky young and upbeat. I would give it 10 for styling. Great location close walking to all the sights. Staff was less desirable. I drove to the hotel and decided to use the valet parking for $30 dollars a night, this worked great. Typicaly hotels will have a bell boy to help there... more

What a great experience I had at the Hotel Max! The moment you walk in the hotel you are greeted by happy folks and it just continues everywhere you go. I loved the pillow menu! It is a great way to try out all of those different pillows you have been wondering about. The art work is so much fun... more

I recently went to Seattle to meet up with some friends. We wanted to stay downtown and none of us were familiar with the city. We settled on the Max based on reviews and availability. It was a great choice for us. The location is really great, near everything. The staff is most helpful and informed we found. Yes, our... more
