This is not a contemporary or funky hotel, this is just a cheap dump. Don't be fooled by a meagre display of so called contemporary decorating.The building is very old with tiny tiny rooms and bathrooms. The rooms stunk of damp,mildew and really old wood. While it's a trendy hotel, it is lacking in a number of areas. The first room we were in was large, but the step up to the bathroom measured 10". And, the ceiling was that much lower than normal, so my 6'4" body felt "squished". We checked in late, after seeing a play, and the room was quite warm. So... more

The Hotel has great decor wihich is funky young and upbeat. I would give it 10 for styling. Great location close walking to all the sights. Staff was less desirable. I drove to the hotel and decided to use the valet parking for $30 dollars a night, this worked great. Typicaly hotels will have a bell boy to help there... more

What a great experience I had at the Hotel Max! The moment you walk in the hotel you are greeted by happy folks and it just continues everywhere you go. I loved the pillow menu!
