In brief, I won't be planning another stay at this porperty, nor any Marriott property again. My daughter and I stayed here for five nights. I chose the property based on the location; It's close enough to walk to the Gaslamp District, but you don't have the crazy noisy party scene. The property looks great from outside, but once you... more

First of all, this is huge hotel with 2 towers. As far as restaurants, the food was fair, but there was not alot to choose from for kids. My son did like the Starbucks that was downstairs, though. The hotel is pretty and the pools are nice. The hot tub was a little small. On one of the nights, they... more

I stayed three nights at the Mariott. The location is great. You can walk to Horton Plaza, the Marina is just in front of you.... The pool is great, Starbucks is at the lobby, yes there is a charge for the parking but it is a part of staying in a city. We had the top floor, half ocean half city... more

We had an absolutely fabulous time at this Marriott. From some additional help I received prior to our arrival in getting our reservation straight, to a smooth and welcoming registration, everyone was very helpful and efficient. I was impressed by the level of customer service they maintained, even while being the official Comic-con host hotel. The rooms aren't overly large,... more

Our problems started before we even checked in. The hotel has nearly 1400 rooms, yet probably only about 250 self-parking spots. So, if the hotel is even remotely busy...guess what... you are stuck paying the $32/nt to Valet (plus tip of course) instead of the $21/nt to self park. We rode around for awhile and found ONE available spot and... more

We stayed at this location for one night in July, 2008. The hotel is very nice, but clearly caters to business travellers on expense accounts - accommodations are expensive, and you have to pay for parking and internet access in addition to your room cost. This seems to be typical of large hotels these days; it is somewhat frustrating as... more

I had a horrible experience the night before at a Days Inn( traveling on business trying to keep costs down) This Marriott is an amazing location, great service and lots to do close by LOVED IT!!!! although you pay for it $300 a night. more

Stayed for 5 days at the Marriott Marina last week. Room on the 16th floor, Marina side. Never heard the train once (so book a Marina room!) Beautiful view of the marina, harbor and Coronado Island from the balcony in our room. Maid service was great every day, never had to wait or had any issues. Room was very nice... more

Stayed 4 nights in the hotel for a convention. While the property is nice, the room itself is nothing special. The hotel is expensive and it irritates me that most $75 a night hotels can provide free internet access but a $300 per night hotel charges $10 per day. And the valet parking is $30 per day. If you like... more

My wife and I stayed at this property June 21st - June 28th. The primary advantage is its location and the price ($169.00 per night). It is a $10.00 cab ride (one way) to Balboa Park, it is located 4 blocks from Horton Plaza and the nearest city bus line, and it is across the street from the city trolley... more
