Good location. Easy walking distance to the Italian district, to the center etc we actually waked everywhere. Do not bring a car, parking is very expensive and driving in Boston is quite difficult! we stayed at the onyx for 3 nights. 2 adults 2 teens. parking was 40$ average for boston. we were a few blocks to the T and quincy market. short walk to north end and duck boats. understand why some people may be uncomfortable walking back alone at night but that depends on where you live. from nyc it was... more

We stayed in the Onyx for a few days in July 2008. We had stayed in a few different hotels during our visit to Boston and this was the best. For a four star hotel the Onyx really missed the mark. We arrived on Friday afternoon, we entered the hotel and the check in area was non existent. Stayed at the Onyx for four nights after a 6 night hetic stay in New York and the relaxed friendly atmosphere was exactly what was needed! The wine hour between 5 & 6 is worth taking advantage of, a free cold glass of wine after a day sightseeing is a must. The hotel is in no more than 10 minutes... more

Great place to stay in Boston. Next to the Garden and <5 min walk to the North subway station. Friendly service! Nice linens, comfortable size rooms, free wine from 5-6pm in the lobby, Aveda products.
