We loved this hotel. We stayed for 1 week. The room was clean, spacious and very comfortable and the hotel clean and nice. The staff were helpful and friendly and gym was good. The location was perfect and very close to transport links. Only negatives: Concierge desk always had a queue and only seemed to have a single person serving.... more

Pros: Wonderful downtown location. Near Boston Common, Theaters and Chinatown. 2 blocks from two different T stops (train). Near the start of the Freedom Trail and several landmarks. New carpet. Coffee maker in room. Cons: Old, small rooms. Tiny bathrooms. No breakfast included, but standard at the high end hotels. more

My husband and I stayed here during a conference last week and it was alright. The concierge was very informative and the front staff very polite. The room cleaning was questionable though as they did not remove empty water bottles the whole time we stayed. They also only dumped the garbage, they did not replace the lining. I think that... more

I travel for work and pleasure non-stop and this is the worst hotel that I have stayed at in a very long time. Check in went smoothly, but when I got to my room it was very old and the door in great need of a paint job. I ordered room service dinner, which came and was wrong. Upon reordering... more

It's very hard to find an affordable hotel room in Boston for some reason (more than any other city I've stayed in) so we decided to take Friday off when visiting here as the price was half that of Saturday night. Still expensive, but that just seems to be Boston! Anyway - gorgeous hotel. It's right on the Common, and... more

This hotel, located in the Back Bay area of Boston, is perfect for tourists in Boston. Prices are very reasonable, and you get quite a lot for your money. We stayed here mid-week. It was not too crowded, staff were pleasant and helpful. We were staying in a King room, which I would recommend, as it is very spacious; the... more

This was probably one of the most beautiful hotels that I have ever stayed at. We ended up here by accident, attending a conference in Boston held at a nearby hotel that got sold out. What a nice surprise. The Boston Park Plaza was old-world elegant. The entrance was gorgeous. We had an room on the 10th floor on the... more

Found a good deal on Expedia so I decided to try this hotel on my trip to Boston. Elegant hotel, friendly staff, clean and cozy room. Bathroom is a little old, but everything else was nice! When we first arrived and got into our room, it was a smoking room and we had requested non-smoking. They quickly and happily made... more

I booked a 1 night stay for a nonsmoking room with a King bed. Check in went well, but upon arrival in the room it was obvious that the previous guest had been a heavy smoker and the room reeked. (The room had just been made up and the chambermaid showed us all the spray and machine that she had... more
