This hotel is our favorite in Maui. We keep returning each year and have been going there since 1984. The staff is so friendly and warm and truly want your experience to be special. Everyone, from every department, greet you with true Aloha Spirit. They have a free sunset Hula Show each evening. It is wonderful to eat at the... more

We booked this hotel after doing alot of research and after some negative reviews, we were slightly dubious about staying here. These doubts were completly unfounded and this was one of the best holidays of my life. The staff were friendly, the location amazing and the room perfect. There was a real feel of Hawaii rather than some of the... more

My husband and I have just returned from our honeymoon stay at Kaanapali Beach Hotel in Maui. All I can say is that we did not want to leave. We have never been so sad and emotional about leaving one place before in our life. The atmosphere at KBH is not something that can be explained in a few words... more

The KBH is a smaller property, but very comfortable. Our room overlooked the garden and the ocean. You can hear the evening music from your lanai and hear the ocean waves along with a gentle breeze. Cookies on your pillow is also a nice touch. The rooms are clean and generally have all you need including a little fridge and... more

This hotel was a nice surprise. It was very charming with a very authentically Hawaiian feel. The staff is very friendly, the bar and restuarant is a nice place to spend your evening with a free live show every night. They turn down your bed and leave very tasty cookies, and their restuarant has the best Maui Onion soup in... more

LOVE this place! Its not new or fancy, but its one of the most comfortable and friendly places we've ever stayed. We were visiting Maui for the first time to run the marathon. I booked this hotel based on the recommendations on this website. I'm so glad we stayed here, and I'm looking forward to returning. Our room was spacious,... more

Our 2nd visit to the Kaanapali Beach Hotel and we were pleased to see that the feeling of ohana was still very much intact. Everyone greeted us with a smile and an "aloha" and we immediately felt at home. We were welcomed with a gift, and sent on our way with a kukui nut lei. Each night we were entertained... more

We were in Maui for the Maui Marathon. I returned to KBH after staying there three years ago. This time I brought my family. We were not disappointed! There were so many FREE things to do for my 7 year old. Never during the entire week did she say she was bored. She learned about Hawaiian culture and had fun... more

What a gorgeous hotel. Everything you can hope for: panoramic breathtaking ocean views through floor-to-ceiling windows. Ultra quiet rooms, ultra glamorous surroundings - the beds were OMG so very comfy, ultra tasty breakfast buffet (hint: it's worth the wait in line to get the custom omelette and be audience to the chef/comedian). Staff extra helpful. The grounds were gorgeous, the... more

Our current stay here is, in a word, outstanding. No, this is not a luxury resort. This place is a comfortable, charming, old school Hawaiian type of hotel, and a great value. The location is directly next to the Sheraton, and the Whalers Village on the other side. There is a beach sidewalk linking all the resorts around here so... more
