This is a great old fashioned hotel in a central location. While the decor is a bit old fashioned, the staff is friendly and the room are more than adequate. We were only there for two days so not enough for comfort to be an issue. We were able to get to everywhere we wanted to get to by foot... more

We have just returned from a short break in Amsterdam and very much enjoyed our stay at Hotel Estherea. Our room (416) was immaculate and nicely furnished. The bathroom was large and modern, with a lovely double sink and bath/shower. The staff were friendly and very helpful. There was no coffee or tea facility in our room but complimentary drinks... more

On a whim, I decided to stay over in Amsterdam for 1 night. I wanted to go all out and stay somewhere 'Fancy' and was ready to pay for it. But the reviews for the "Luxury" hotels were spotty and I didn't want to make a 300 Euro mistake. So I held my breathe, went with Hotel Estehrea after considering... more

We enjoyed our stay here. Great location - near everything but quiet. Charming. Tea coffee and snacks all day. Rooms are small, bathrooms are minute - but that's how it is in the old charming hotels in good locations. Standard room has almost no room to move around. Deluxe room is comfortable and has room enough for desk, table and... more

We LOVED the Hotel Estherea. My husband and I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and found it to be wonderful. It was in a great location - about a 5 minute walk to Dam Square and about 20 mins to the Anne Frank House and Central Station. The staff was always approachable and helpful. They booked tickets for... more

We stayed at the Estherea as a birthday treat and stayed for 3 nights over a weekend. We can only echo what other visitors have said, peaceful, quiet, clean and ideally situated for all the many places in Amsterdam that a visitor would wish to see. All staff were attentive and eager to please from check in to check out,... more

We stayed 4 nights in this lovely hotel. We had a triple room and my mom had a single room. The single room was very small but the tasteful decoration, elegant colors, comfortable bedding and beautiful furniture made up for the size. The triple room was also beautifully, luxuriously decorated and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel has a... more

My wife and I stayed here in July 2007 and were very happy with it. The rooms were very small but really charming. The location was perfect. We got a great deal and did not pay nearly the price listed as average price righ now so I'm really basing our contentment on the price we paid. Great lobby too! We... more

Spent one night at the Estherea. It is a warm, comfortable and cosy hotel. Rooms are small but other touches more than make up for it. Good breakfast and tea, coffee and chocolate and cakes available all day. Excellent touch. Very friendly and helpful staff. Cannot wait to go back again. more

Hotel Estherea is a fabulous hotel and quite accomodating as well. We just returned from our travels which including this hotel and loved everything about it. Clean, wonderfully helpful and pleasant front desk staff and exceptionally large room for European standards. Easily accomodated me and two kids with lots of room to spare. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and cookies are... more
