Was staying with friends in BC, but had to stay the last night in a hotel to make a ridiculously early bus to Seattle. Booked the Comfort Inn after a friend recommended them, and I also liked the price. Booked in and the staff were very friendly (she was an Aussie!) and went up to the room, which was gorgeous.... more

Just had a great stay at the Comfort Inn. The rooms (we stayed in two thanks to a free upgrade) were exceptionally clean, well equipped and comfortable. The free breakfast was great and the staff were all helpful and friendly. Granville Street is very loud and busy but is generally safe (I was impressed by the police presence at the... more

Let me start by saying that any hotel in Downtown Vancouver is going to be disadvantaged simply by being in downtown Vancouver. Downtown Vancouver is just out and out dodgy. Expect to be asked for money numerous times throughout the day and even more at night. The hotel itself is fine, nothing special but there was nothing wrong with it... more

This hotel was a great lower cost option for staying in Downtown Vancouver. It is located in walking distance or a short cab ride to most places within downtown. The free breakfast was a plus and quite good, especially the waffles that you could make on your own. The rooms were small, but newly renovated, including a flat screen TV.... more

We stayed here for 3 nights, and had the cheap Queen bedroom - everything was nice and clean. It was nothing fancy, but perfect for what we wanted. The room was very small - only enough room for the bed, some furniture, and enough room to walk around, but it was fine. The bed was comfortable and bedding ok. The... more

Very cute decor and great location. Staff was helpful and friendly. Clean rooms. Our room was very small, but we booked a "One Queen Bed" room at a discounted rate. It was perfect for what we were using it for, which was sleeping, but if you're planning to spend a lot of time in your room, invest in a larger... more

I stayed at the hotel from a Thursday to Saturday. The rooms were surprisngly large and well decorated. Unfortunately the design of the lobby makes it difficult to carry up large luggage because there are no ramps to roll up so you have to carry all your bags up the short flights of stairs. The only other problem I had... more

If you want to stay in the middle of everything, and not spend a load of cash, this is it. However, if you're squeamish about the grittiness of urban nightlife--you may want to reconsider staying here. It's not a business hotel, it's not a family hotel. There's no doubt about your security once you are inside the hotel, and the... more

We just returned from a five night stay at the Comfort Inn Downtown. The hotel was in a convenient location - we walked everywhere in the downtown area and only used our car for trips outside the city We did not feel that the neighborhood outside the hotel was unsafe, but it was definitely LOUD. Even my college age sons remarked... more
